Where it all began...

Welcome to my world… the world of "Les Nuances de DD".

My name is Nicky, a self-taught artist born and raised in Belgium. A florist by trade — a passion I still pursue today — I have always been surrounded by colours, materials and natural beauty.

It was in 2016, when I moved to France, that painting entered my life. My very first contact with art was through murals I created for my grandchildren's room. It was a revelation.

The beginning of my artistic adventure... and always under the supervision of my dog "Lotje"...

Painted with love for my grandchildren, inspired by the world they love so much.

Since then, artistic creation has become my refuge.
The intense pace of the florist's profession finds its balance in painting, which brings me calm, gentleness and serenity.

My work oscillates between modern abstraction and spontaneity. I like to let instinct speak, to let forms and colors emerge without constraint, until the work finds its own identity.

France has become my haven of peace since 2016 — a place where I can create, breathe and recharge.

As a lover of all animals, I have a particular fondness for dogs and cats, who are fully part of my sensitive world.

If my works can convey a little of this inner peace and emotion, then they have found their purpose.
